Description
Genuine low-mileage JDM 2ZR-FXE hybrid engine for the fourth-generation Toyota Prius, ZVW50 chassis (XW50, 2015-up). This is the black cam cover variant – visually the fastest way to tell a fourth-gen unit from the silver-cover ZVW30/ZVW40 engines on a shelf.
Toyota reworked this engine for the XW50 platform with revised Atkinson-cycle calibration and a redesigned EGR system, pushing thermal efficiency to roughly 40 percent – among the highest of any production gasoline engine at launch. It pairs with the P610 e-CVT transaxle rather than the P410 used in the earlier chassis.
Imported at 40,000-60,000 miles and compression tested before shipping.
